Find your entry point

Choose where to start

You do not need to start from the beginning if you are not at the beginning. Use your real ability, not your streak count or years of classes, to choose your entry point.

Use this page as a practical focus for your next few sessions, not as a rulebook. The roadmap is meant to help you choose what matters now and ignore what can wait.

01

If you are a total beginner

Start with Stage 1. Your job is to get oriented, learn a small amount of survival vocabulary, and make the language feel less like noise.

Do not worry about speaking well yet. Do not worry about perfect grammar. Build the habit first.

02

If you are a false beginner or school learner

Many people have taken classes or used apps but still cannot understand real content. If that sounds familiar, you probably need Stage 2 and Stage 3 more than another pile of explanations.

Keep the useful parts of your class or course, but add more understandable input so the language stops living only in exercises.

03

If you are learning for an exam

You need two tracks: general language growth and exam-specific preparation. The roadmap helps with the first. Your exam course, tutor, or prep book helps with the second.

Use input and vocabulary work to make the language more automatic, then practice the exact task formats your exam requires.

04

If you are a heritage or returning learner

You may understand more than you can read, write, or explain. Or you may have old knowledge that comes back quickly once you start listening and reading again.

Skim Stage 1, then use Stages 2 through 4 to rebuild comprehension and vocabulary. Add conversation when the language starts waking up again.

05

If you are already intermediate

If easy content is comfortable but native media still feels fast, dense, or slang-heavy, focus on Stage 3 and Stage 4. If you can understand a lot but freeze when speaking, visit Stage 5.

Intermediate learners usually do not need more beginner motivation. They need enough hours with the right content to turn partial understanding into confidence.
