Stage 4: Grow vocabulary from context
Vocabulary sticks best when it belongs to something you understood. Stage 4 is about turning real encounters into useful review without making review the whole method.
Use this page as a practical focus for your next few sessions, not as a rulebook. The roadmap is meant to help you choose what matters now and ignore what can wait.

Save words that are trying to become familiar
Not every unknown word deserves attention. Save words that appear repeatedly, block meaning, or feel useful for topics you care about.
A rare word from one scene may not be worth reviewing yet. A common word you have seen three times this week probably is.

Use spaced repetition as support
Flashcards and spaced repetition can help keep useful vocabulary active between encounters. They are especially helpful early, when natural repetition is not yet enough.
The danger is letting review become your entire routine. If you spend all your energy clearing flashcards and none of it understanding new language, the system has taken over the goal.

Keep words connected to real language
A translation is helpful, but context is what gives a word its shape. Notice where it appeared, who said it, and what kind of sentence it lived in.
